Originally part of Publishers Group West (PGW), PGC was acquired by Raincoast Books in 2001. Raincoast Books is also comprised of Book Express. PGC also maintains a close relationship with PGW/Perseus Books Group, as a significant number of PGC’s clients are also PGW/Perseus clients.
While operating separate sales, marketing and publicity teams, PGC benefits from the experience and expertise of Raincoast’s operational system, including credit, customer service, warehousing, and supply chain management. Raincoast runs a warehouse system capable of swiftly delivering over 20,000 new titles to over 2500 bookstores and other specialty retailers across Canada’s 5 time zones.
